Lone Tree Hill - Victoria BC
Lone Tree Hill Regional Park is a wonderful, hidden bit of paradise deep in the hills of Victoria has a beautiful panoramic view from its summit. The hike is fairly short and relaxing at just 1.6k trailhead to summit. Expect to hike for under 30 minutes to reach the viewpoint. The views for such a short hike are quite amazing.
Driving Directions
Lone Tree Hill Regional Park is located in the Highlands neighborhood along Millstream Road. From downtown Victoria, drive along Douglas Street heading northbound as you leave the city and Douglas turns into Highway #1, the Trans-Canada Highway. Drive for about 12km and take Exit #14 Langford / Highlands turning right onto Millstream Road after you exit. Follow Millstream Road as you leave all of the shopping malls behind and pass through a residential area. You will drive along Millstream Road for about 8km as it slowly weaves is way uphill through, what feels like, a remote area. Continue driving past the sign pointing to Gowlland Tod Provincial Park and watch for signs for Lone Tree Hill Regional Park on your right. Turn right into the gravel parking lot and start your hike next to the park map.
