Malkow Lookout

Malkow Lookout is a short little hike just outside Smithers, It has a beautiful view from the top. This trail does go thru private property, the owners ask for dogs to be on leashes and please pickup your dog poop!! As hundreds of people use this trail every year its nice to keep it clean so we can continue using it. Sometimes you will see livestock in the fields. The trail joins up with a road that goes up the lookout. It’s a fairly easy hike to do. This trail is great for hiking, Snowshoeing and horses. I’ve ridden up multiple times over the years.

Directions: Take McCabe road on left. After about 2km there is a parking area on the left just across from the Logpile Lodge. Use the gate to enter onto the trail, close it behind you. Do not litter, cows don’t like it in their hay.
